Len Falkenstein is Artistic Director and co-founder of the NotaBle Acts Theatre Company. He is also a professor in the Department of English and Director of Drama at the University of New Brunswick, where he teaches theatre, drama, and playwriting; and founder and Artistic Director of Bard in the Barracks, Fredericton’s outdoor Shakespeare company. Also an actor, dramaturge, and playwright, he has produced his own work with his company, Theatre Free Radical. His plays, which include Utopia, Doppelgänger, Futures, Free/Fall, and Happy City, have been produced across Canada at Toronto’s Summerworks Theatre Festival and Fringe Festivals including Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax.
Clarissa Hurley has worked with the NotaBle Acts Theatre Company for the past five years as an actor, dramaturge, director and board member. She studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, and worked professionally as an actor in Toronto and in New Brunswick. She is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Toronto.
Jared Mallard is a teacher, writer and director from Bishop’s Falls, Newfoundland. His plays have won over 30 provincial awards and have been performed in three provinces. He was the recipient of the 2012 Minister’s Excellence in Teaching Award and has been involved with NotaBle Acts since 2011. He spends his time teaching, writing, and collecting vintage Nintendo games.
