Auditions for 2016 NotaBle Acts Summer Theatre Festival

The NotaBle Acts Theatre Company invites all interested to participate in open auditions for our 2016 Summer Theatre Festival, which will staged from July 19-30. Twelve different plays of varying lengths and genres, including one-act plays, readings, and short 10-minute and 20-minute plays, will be cast at the auditions, with a large number of roles available for men and women of all ages. Those interested can attend auditions either on Sunday, July 3rd, from 1:30-4:00pm or Tuesday, July 5th from 7:30-9:30pm at Memorial Hall on the UNB Campus, Fredericton.

Auditions will consist of readings from the plays, with no advance preparation necessary. Appointments are not required, but those auditioning should be prepared to be on hand for the duration of the afternoon or evening if possible.

2016 Lineup Announced

NotaBle Acts Theatre Company is pleased to share its initial 2016 festival lineup which includes thirteen new plays by New Brunswick playwrights. As previously announced, this year’s Mainstage production will be a new work by Solo Chicken Productions’ the coop. A Record of Us has been in development for the past year and will make its world premiere on the Fredericton Playhouse stage July 20-23, kicking off this year’s eleven day summer theatre festival.

With the exception of A Record of Us, all of the works included in this year’s festival were chosen among the many plays submitted through the festival’s annual playwriting competition.
