The reading of Vern Thiessen’s new play, Bluebirds, is going live at 2:00pm!

Bluebirds tells the story of three Canadian nurses stationed in France during the final days of the Great War. The world of nursing gives them adventure and freedom. They have rank and purpose. They are important and needed. They have stature. But what happens when they realize their new-found independence relies on a War effort that kills the very men they are trying to save? Bluebirds is a haunting, poetic tale about freedom and all its costs.
